July 2023 Tax Deadlines

Monday, July 3rd: File Form 11-C to register and pay annual tax if you’re in the business of taking wagers.

Thursday, July 6th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on June 28-30, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Friday, July 7th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 1-4, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Monday, July 10th: Employees are required to report to you tips of $20 or more earned during June.

Wednesday, July 12th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 5-7, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Friday, July 14th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 8-11, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Monday, July 17th: Deposit payroll tax for June, if you’re a monthly depositor.

Wednesday, July 19th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 12-14, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Friday, July 21st: 

  • Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 15-18, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.
  • Deposit FUTA owed through June if it’s more than $500.

Wednesday, July 26th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 19-21, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Friday, July 28th: Deposit payroll tax for payments made on July 22-25, if you’re a semiweekly depositor.

Monday, July 31st: 

  • File Form 941 for the second quarter.
  • File Form 5500, 5500-EZ, 5500-SF, 5558, or 8955-SSA for calendar year 2022 employee benefit plan.
  • File Form 2290 and pay the tax for vehicles first used during June.
  • File Form 730 and pay the tax on wagers accepted during June.
  • File Form 720 for the second quarter.
